My Mission:
Professionally scan, digitize, and preserve your family pictures for generations to come.
Collecting Pictures over the years.
Home Film photography really took off in the 1940’s and 50’s and grew in popularity through the 80’s and 90’s until the industry shifted towards digital photography in the early to mid 2000’s If you are like most families you and your parents or grandparents have shoes boxes and shoes boxes full of pictures documenting the epic road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, Yellowstone, or Mount Rushmore, and every treasured family reunion.
From sea to shining sea, we got around. From the amber waves of grain to the the majestic purple mountains we explored the great nation and photo documented it each step of the way. But 50+ years later, how are the prints and negatives holding up? Black and white prints tend to hold up well in good environment. But common printing technology from the 40’s to 90’s was not intended to be of lasting quality, nor did the underlining technology really evolve much. Typically color prints start to fade and loose color saturation after just 10 years, with major fading occurring in 20-30 years.
Win The Race Against Time:
This is the time to get your pictures scanned and prevent further fading and damage. Prints are very sensitive to the environment they are stored in. They are one basement flood away or kitchen fire away from complete loss.
